Good News (How Beautiful)
by: Craig J. Sefa
Today wraps up my series of original Christmas music with a simple song of praise and celebration as we proclaim with the angels and shepherds the Good News of Jesus, our Savior, born unto us.
May your Christmas celebration be truly blessed and may you notice the countless ways God is taking the small, ordinary, and even painful things in your life and making something beautiful.
Merry Christmas!
Good News (How Beautiful)
Verse 1:
How Beautiful __ upon the mountains, are the feet of the one who brings good news
O How Beautiful __ the Angel voices, singing “Glory to God, Salvation Comes!”
How Beautiful __ the lowly Shepherds proclaiming everything that they had seen and heard
O How Beautiful __ the life made new, bearing witness to the miracle of love
The Son of God, born unto us
Chorus:
Hear the Good News - The blind receive their sight
Hear the Good News – We will walk by heaven’s light
Hear the Good News – the world will be set right
Hear the Good News – our God has come tonight
Verse 2:
How Beautiful __ the poor in Spirit, for the Kingdom of heaven shall be theirs
O How Beautiful __ the lost and hurting, for they shall know the comfort of their King
How Beautiful __ the pure and humble, for they shall inherit all the earth
O How Beautiful __ are those who hunger, and thirst after righteousness
For they shall be satisfied.
Chorus
Ending:
Hear the good news
Our God has come tonight, Our God has come tonight, Our God has come _____ to-night
How beautiful __ how beautiful __ O how beautiful __
Our God has come tonight
